    Hi there,

I was trying to import the settings from one site to another.

Unfortunately when I imported the site settings from another site, it locked me out because the site settings I was importing had the Hide Menus featured enabled for that account. The issue is similar to what other’s have experienced, when I go to: /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=wlcms-plugin.php I am not allowed to view the page.

I’ve tried creating an admin account on the site with the same username and email address as the source site (from which I exported the White Label CMS settings), but this did not give me the privilege to see the setting page and restore my settings.

Is there really no way to fix override the plugin to change the settings and allow Other Admins to use the Plugin?

    Hi,

We are sorry to hear you are having problems.  This is strange because the only requirement in the code for a user to be able to access the setting is to have the permission, manage_options.  We only hide the menu item from the WordPress Settings menu. The URL should still be accessible to all admins irrespective of if you have hidden the menus.

Can you confirm you can’t reset the plugin either by using this link:

    /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=wlcms&wlcms-action=reset

Hopefully we can get to the bottom of what the issue is.

    Thanks

Thank you very much. That resolved my issue!

I am still determining why this occurred. As you said, the settings menu should still be reachable by URL. My sites have many membership plugins, as they are LMS websites. Could a plugin conflict cause this?

One more thing, the same issue is happening to the Video User Manual plugin:/wp-admin/admin.php?page=vum-options

I see “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

    Hi Devyn,

Thanks for letting us know. I am going to mark this as resolved.

LMS blocking access is very possible, particularly if caching is in place.

I have emailed you about the VUM plugin.

    Thanks
