Imported posts saved inside the Classic editor instead of the Gutenberg blocks

I was testing this plugin by importing posts using the XML file. I noticed that the imported posts are saved inside the Classic editor. I then have to manually convert them into the Gutenberg blocks. Is there a way to directly have them imported as Gutenberg blocks?
