Imported files won’t catagorize!

I imported my database but at the end I get

Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded in /*/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 274

Then it says all done proceed

But when looking at my blog none of the posts I imported are categorized even though the import created the categories for them shown on site. It just says 0 posts in categorizes even though other people have imported the xml successful with posts in the categories.
