Imported content automatically published

Hello,

I use WP 2.5.1.
When I import content (say, wxr export file from other WP blog) into my blog – it is automatically published… which is something I wish to avoid, since I wish to first edit the content, check everything is in place and imported correctly, maybe delete some un-needed post, etc.

Is there a way to tell WP to import content into draft status?
