Imported blog from WP to WP – Posts came without categories labeled

    I just imported one WP blog into another existing WP blog to combine them. The posts came in, but they do not have the categories linked to them. The categories came over, but they have “0” posts in each category.

    Help help. How can I get my categories into my posts without having to manually do it 200 times.

    It turns out the posts WERE in the categories, it just didn’t say so. I selected each category individually, did a batch select and re-associated it with the same category. Then, I removed the category widget, closed the browser, and added the category widget again.

    Everything works fine now. Perhaps this will help the next person.
