Imported blog from Localhost not able to import doucuments

Exported my wordpress blog to my desktop from the external server (Ubuntu) and imported it into an installation on my localhost webserver on my desktop (windows XP).

Rebuilt the wordpress app on the external server (Ubuntu). Then exported the blog from my localhost installation to an xml file on my desktop.

Imported the xml file into the new wordpress installation on the remote server but it gave me an error for all the documents.

I uploaded the documents manually to the uploads folder but all the urls in my blog posts point to the localhost documents.

Is there a way for me to correct this without going into every blog post and changing the html?
