Whenever you login with any social network account, the avatar that’s displayed from the social network only displays on WordPress (get_avatar) but not BuddyPress. When you navigate to the BuddyPress profile page, the avatar is still the default placeholder image.

This defeats the purpose of display the network profile picture since the user would still have to upload it again on BuddyPress.

Why not just import it to WordPress?

  • I have the same issue – This works for users logging in with facebook but with twitter google and instagram does not import the avatar – and this causes issues as then they can’t do anything until they upload…

    Hello,

I have the same issue. Profile images coming from social networks are uploaded in WordPress profile but not in Buddypress profile.

I am not sure if this is related with the specific plugin or with Worpdress-Buddypress interoperability, but any help on that will be very usefull.

    Thank you!

Same problem here… it’s a pitty, the plugin could be awesome with this feature

Same issue here. Any ideas if this will ever get fixed?
