Mystery, despite successful Import, the SKU FIELD in the list is EMPTY, at the same time, I see the NEW SKUs in the store on each product.

    Actions:

    1. Exported products with IDs, system-generated SKUs, and product names.
    2. Replaced system-generated SKUs with new SKUs in the CSV.
    3. Successfully imported the updated CSV containing 321 records.
    4. Import process confirmed as “Successful.”
    5. New SKUs are correctly displayed on products in the store frontend.
    6. However, the SKU field remains empty in the WordPress dashboard product listing.

Question: Why aren’t the new SKUs appearing in the dashboard product listing

    Hi @jayb123,

This could be due to a caching issue. From my experience, this could be resolved by clearing your browser’s cache and cookies. If you’re using a caching plugin, make sure to clear the cache from there as well.

Additionally, head over to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and do the following:

    • WooCommerce transients – Clear
    • Expired transients – Clear
    • Clear template cache – Clear
    • Capabilities – Reset Capabilities
    • Clear customer sessions -Clear
    • Product lookup tables – Regenerate
    • Regenerate the product attributes lookup table – Regenerate

I hope this helps! Please let us know how it goes or if you need further assistance.

    Hey, Shameem (@shameemreza)

Thanks for getting back to me! I applied the steps you mentioned, but it looks like the SKU FIELD is still empty.

On the bright side, I learned something new! ??

Guess I’ll have to live with it for now. (It seems that the export captures the SKUs all the same, though.) So strange.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Hi @jayb123,

This is indeed strange as the new SKUs are correctly displayed on products in your store frontend.

Could you possibly run a conflict test to see if a plugin or theme conflict is causing this issue? You can find more information on how to do this here: https://woo.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

Just to let you know, I’ve tested this on my site by exporting and importing a product CSV file with updated SKUs, and everything seems to be working fine.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
