I’m using a third party plugin (“Feed Pull”) to pull XML feeds into The Events Calendar. When the events get pulled in, they do show up under “All Events,” but won’t show up on the calendar until I have opened each individual event and hit “update” – even if I make no changes to the information. Then they show up fine on the public calendar.

    Any idea what’s causing this?

    Any help?

Sorry, but we don’t provide support for XML importing. However, you may be able to look into the database (e.g. via PHPMyAdmin) and compare an event that does show up and one that does not.

I hope this helps you resolve your issue. Thanks for using our plugin.

Got it. We looked into PHPMyAdmin and there was no discernible difference between events that were showing up and ones that weren’t. It seems the only difference is when viewing the “Events” list in the WordPress Dashboard, items with a Start Date that *includes a year* do not get shown on the calendar. When we go in and hit “Update” on these events, the year stays attached to the event in the post meta as it should, but it disappears from the “All Events” “Start Date” column, and the event then flows into the calendar.

I know you guys don’t officially support XML integration but just wanted to let you know what we’ve found, if not solved. It might affect areas that you do support.

Since you don’t support XML feeds, can you tell me if any users have found a way to integrate ServiceU calendars with your plugin? We’ve got, say, 12 different calendars for 12 different organizational departments that we need put on the website calendar.

    Hey @andrewmillen,

We currently do not have that in place as you say. Maybe you can use a custom script to convert the calendars to .csv files and then import them via the CSV importer.

We have a premium plugin that deals with importing .ics calendar feeds. Bur that’s not included in The Events Calendar.

    Best,
    Nico
