    Hi!

I’m having trouble adding products to the catalogue through Excel. This is what I’ve tried so far:
    – first made my own Excel (tried both .xlsx and .xls) wih the appropiate column names (both formatted and not formatted as a table).
    – downloaded the sample Excel and copy pasted everything in there. Again column formatted and not formatted as a table.

Nothing seems to be working? Or did I misread the plug-in description and it’s actually a premium feature?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello brain,

The import is included in this free version. It is not a premium feature.

Usually, it will display an error when the import fails. Could you let me know what the error is when you try to import? It’s almost always because there is either a blank column or row, a column heading is incorrect or an invalid value is placed in one of the cells.

If you try to import the sample spreadsheet as-is, unchanged, does it work?

Hi, sorry for the late reply.

There is no error message. It just skips over to the product page, but the table stays empty. As for empty columns: the link and tag column were left empty.
If I upload sample spreadsheet at is, it works. So I’m going to dig a bit deeper in what might be wrong with my own excel.

Just filled out every column there is in the spreadsheet, made sure that columns weren’t populated by any formula, every entry is unique. It still doesn’t work.
I’ve also cut down the number of products to 100, doesn’t work. Cut it down to 30, also doesn’t work.

If it works with our sample spreadsheet, that means the import process is working in the plugin, and that the issue is almost certainly with your spreadsheet. If you could link to your spreadsheet, I’d be happy to go through it, to see what might be incorrect. If you’d prefer not to share it publicly here, you can email us at [email protected] (please make sure to reference this thread if you do that).

    Thank you!
