Greetings. I’d like to import about 200 video files into a gallery. They are all hosted at Vimeo, I have the video URLs and captions in a database. I see that the Export format is JSON so I assume the import format is also JSON.

It also appears that Envira Gallery automatically pulls Vimeo thumbnail image URLs when a file is manually added.

If I create a JSON file with no thumbnail URLS’s and import that file to populate the Gallery, will EG reach out and pull the thumbnails?

If not, is there a way, perhaps via a custom script, to make that happen?

I have figured out how to access the thumbnail images using the Vimeo API.

Can you point me to the documentation for the required data for a JSON video import file?

    Hello @oregondean

Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, we don’t have documentation about it as this functionality was not created for people to generate the file manually and actually was implemented to export and import galleries withing Envira.
