Import via URL

    Hi there,

    I have a question regarding the import methods. I have seen that it is possible to import automatically (i.e. per day) via an URL. Is it possible to add products from this URL and keep the already existing shop products? Is it necessary that the data from the URL CSV/XML has the same structure like the already existing products in the shop? I mean…if I export my already existing products, the file contains other columns than the file from the URL.

    I hope you can help me so far…

    Yes. If you use a “New Items” import, it won’t touch the existing products at all.

    Does the URL feed contain products that already exist on your site, or are they products that are unique to the feed?

    Is it necessary that the data from the URL CSV/XML has the same structure like the already existing products in the shop? I mean…if I export my already existing products, the file contains other columns than the file from the URL.

    That shouldn’t matter.
