import taking extremely long time

  • Hi All –

    I’m importing old blog posts into a new blog I designed for a client, but it seems to be taking an unnaturally long time. The file I’m importing is an export from their wordpress.com blog. It’s an 8.6MB xml file and as far as I can tell, I’m doing everything right – however, it’s been importing for the past hour.

    How long does something like this usually take? Is there any way to gauge the progress? I’m not sure if it’s not working at all, or if it’s just taking a very long time. Any help or advice would be much appreciated, thanks!

    Interestingly enough, I may have found a solution to this. It wasn’t working at all in Safari, and I just tried it in Firefox. Seems to have worked.
