    Hi Mark,

I am sorry for the inconvenience.
Could you login your exported site using FTP and check if you have backups from other plugins (inside wp-content or wp-content/uploads) that you can delete before running an export/import again?

    Dear Pim,

I am getting the following error when trying to access the page and/or the wp-admin page:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Vc_Manager::getInstance() in /homepages/32/d578678602/htdocs/clickandbuilds/KnightArea/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/helpers/helpers_factory.php on line 19

    Kind regards,
    Mark.

BTW there were backup files in /wp-content/envatoe-backups which I deleted.

    Kind regards,
    Mark.

    Hi Mark,

Do you mind reaching out to me at support at servmask.com, so I can have an engineer look into the issue further?

    Dear Pim,

I solved my problem by creating a new site from scratch and doing the import from there. Thank you for your help.

    Kind regards,
    Mark.

Thank you for the update, Mark.
I am glad you were able to resolve the issue.

    Hi

The import hangs at 99%, are there any permissions to set to allow the files to be uploaded to the new server? Or could there be another solution?

    Thanks
    Doug

    Hi Doug,

Could you try uploading your .wpress file via FTP to wp-content/ai1wm-backups and then restore it by using the Backups section instead?
You can check out our video tutorial on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRp7qTFYKgs for more details.

    Thank you, that worked perfectly.

    You are very welcome, DougW.

    Hi

I am using the backup method to restore my site to a new server. I am using Plesk 12 and the site I am trying to backup to does not have the domain name resolved to it yet so I am using the Plesk site preview to backup the files. However I get a message saying ‘Unable to start the import. Refresh the page and try again’ then the backup does not get past the ‘Preparing to import…’ stage.

I have set permissions 777 on the ‘ai1wm-backups’ directory and the import file.

Do you have a solution for this problem?

    Thank you for your help

    Doug

My restore is also getting stuck. Both of my servers are local and I tried the import twice.

The first time I used the regular import tool, and it seemed to start fine, but then got stuck forever with the spinning progress indicator on “restoring database”. After letting it try for 2 hours, I gave up and closed the window. It did seem to import my data, since all the files are visible in the wp-admin and the homepage loads fine. But when I click any links, I get an error 404. I saved my permalinks settings 3x, but all pages except the homepage are not found. I can see them in the wp-admin file list, but they won’t be served.

So I tried importing via the backup tool as you mentioned above, but it’s been about 15 minutes and it’s still spinning its wheels. My backup file is 55MB. Any help appreciated!
    Thanks

    Hi Doug,

I am sorry for the inconvenience.
What is the site URL that you are importing on?
How large is the file you are importing?

    Hi agoraphone,

Could you try the following steps and let me know how your import goes?

    1. While on restoring database, leave it running for 15 minutes.
    2. After 15 minutes, open another tab and try to login to wp-admin with WP Admin username/password of the exported site
    3. Go to settings -> permalinks and save the permalink structure
At this point the website should be successfully migrated.
