Import Stuck – Large File

    Has anyone got experience dealing with importing large WordPress websites? My total file size is 5GB. I have used the plugin for the migration process, export worked perfectly but when I try to import the files I keep getting stuck at 4.26%, obviously having such a large site I know it would be time-consuming so I left it over night to see if it was still working but all attempts just seem to stall at the same percentage with no error message or such. I have edited the max file size in the editor to cater for my needs but sadly no luck. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    I managed to find a workable solution. It is just a case of using FTP, locating the plugins backup folder located within the wp-content folder and upload your .wpress folder to there. As my website was quite large the process did take a bit of time, when your files have loaded go to your website and instead of using the plugins import feature, select backup and restore.
