Import Squarespace content to WordPress

  • Hi Guys,

    I exported the content of a squarespace.com site into a .xml file and I want to import it into a WordPress installation but there is no option for that.

    What can be the solution?

    Yes, I tried that but it did not work again. Actually it popped the “have fun!” message but did not import any content.

    What do you advice me to try?

    I have been trying to figure out how to import the contents from my old squarespace blog to my wordpress blog. Is there any way of doing that at all?

    I finally managed importing my squarespace blog to wordpress.com

    1. Export your blog from squarespace in Movable Type format
    2. Create a free typepad.com blog
    3. Import your squarespace blog into Typepad
    4. Export your blog from typepad
    5. Import your blog into WordPress.com using the import tool

    Worked well for me, just the posts, no pictures etc.
