Import reviews from ThemeIsle WPPR plugin

    Hi guys, I’ve been using the old WordPress Product Review plugin and would like to remove it as it is long since unsupported. Can I use the Otter review block to import these old reviews somehow? Or perhaps there is another way? Someone told me to take screenshots and re-enter everything but this feels like an impossible task at this point given my dozens of reviews!

    No problem and thanks for getting back to me, I thought you guys had forgotten about me!

    This is a major bummer but thank you for trying. Can you or the team suggest anything I can do to extract the data from my reviews and input it into the new review template? Is there a process that someone could do or a macro that could be run for example, or maybe someone you could recommend to do it? I’d happily pay someone to do it of course. I just have no idea how to do it!

    Hi Mike,

    You’d probably need a custom plugin that could do the migration. You could hire some developer online, there are lots of platforms that offer custom code work. ( I’m not sure I’m allowed to share those sites here, but for sure, you can find them on Google ).

    Thank you, I guess the other option is to print all of the current reviews and manually transfer over the data in the WPPR sections to a new Otter review block. Then I should be able to remove the WPPR plugin and fingers crossed all will be OK. If I remove the WPPR plugin before doing that, I will lose all the review data in those sections, correct?

    Hi Mike,

    Yes, you are correct. You should remove the WPPR plugin after you transfer the data.
