    Hi,

A long time satisfied user – we now want to move the database to a new site. When trying to import the old database it returns “target not found”
    What could cause this error?

I have (tried to) make all field settings etc. match on both sites.
I understand your recommendation is to import directly via the PHP interface and I am happy with that, however I fear that if I don’t fix this, I will never be able to import and we do use that for major changes in the DB.

I don’t know what is causing this message, it’s not an error message the plugin is generating.

Are you using the “Import CSV File” page in Participants Database to import the database?

    the full text is
“Target findes ikke, og kunne ikke oprettes. Pr?v at oprette den manuelt.

(Target doesn’t not exist and cannot be created. Try to create it manually.

Yes, I am using the Import CSV after having used the Export page from the old DB

I see…what that means is the directory that is used to upload the CSV does not exist and could not be created. This is usually due to a permissions setup issue with the web server. I suggest you ask your web host to set the permissions so that WordPress can create the directory it needs to upload the CSV.

The default location for the upload directory is:

    wp-content/uploads/participants-database

You may be able to import the CSV if you create this directory manually, just make sure it has the correct permissions.

Thanks – I will try the permission issue. The directory is there alright.
