Import process fails due to Invalid XML on read

Tried to import a relatively “large” Hostmonster-hosted blog (nearly 1,000 posts) into a free WordPress account and the process failed with the following error message:

Invalid XML on read in WXR_Large_File_Parser::_construct() for file:///nfs/f1a/155767854/files/2018/12/gacetaaeronautica.wordpress.2018-12-16.xml-2.txt (size: 25487838)

Repeated the process with a smaller blog (80+ entries) and it ended completely and succesfully.

Just wonder if the original error stems from a capacity limitation in the free WP account or an error crept into the XML export file.

Can anyone help? We’re exploring ways to move out of HostMonster into a paid hosting solution by WordPress.

Due to the differences between the free hosted blogs offered at WordPress.com and the self-hosted and self-installed version of WordPress supported here, I recommend that you ask WordPress.com Support instead.
