Import post content to static home page

Hello, Im building a magazine style site. The home page is a static page with a few handpicked stories. For the most part im importing a thumbnail and excerpt with the tcg get posts plugin.

However for the main story of the day i would like to pull in specific content from the post itself. This would include an image other than the thumbnail (or featured image) the headline, an excerpt plus the option to pull in video if the post had video content.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
