Dear WooCommerce team kindly note I am working on a staging BETA environment and developing a new website: https://dev1.kadoonstore.com/ that is the updated version of: https://kadoonstore.com and both websites are running on WordPress woo-commerce, but before going live with the new site, I need to make import of customers and orders from the old setup to the new setup, can someone please help and support how to do that? is this can be done via excel import/export because my staging environment has all data till July 2022 but the live production server has, of course, more data so I need to make the sync between both woocommerce systems, how can I do that if someone can assist, please? Thank you and have a great day and weekend ahead!

  • Hi @marchajj!

There is no option in WooCommerce core to import customers or orders; you would need a plugin or custom coding to achieve it.

Searching, I found some plugins that allow you to export and import customers and orders:

    * WooCommerce Customer / Order / Coupon Export
    * Import Export Suite for WooCommerce
    * Import and export users and customers

    I hope this helps!

ok thanks appreciate it! The thing is I am running woocommerce on the BETA staging environment and when I want to GO LIVE with this environment I need to import pending orders or open orders from my other website to the new one, the same case applies to customers. taking into consideration both platforms are word press woocommerce, I can see users is a free plugin but for order, it is paid plugin? there is no free version for this one to import orders from woocommerce to woocommerce, the only difference is the domain name and URL.

I have 2 other concerns for woocommerce backend and email order confirmation please and I need your help and support in:
1)add a view order link inside the order confirmation email like Shopify here: https://prnt.sc/1CC_vyNctmzj how can I do that? so that the client will be redirected to the website and see his order details.
2)after I receive an order with COD or bank transfer payment method, I want to be able to send the payments to link to customers for them to pay via card for their orders in the backend something like Shopify too here: https://prnt.sc/c8ostY2n4ClJ how can I do it in woocommerce? I tried to resend the email invoice from order action but this is not what I want.

    Hello @marchajj,

I can see users is a free plugin but for order, it is paid plugin? there is no free version for this one to import orders from woocommerce to woocommerce, the only difference is the domain name and URL.

I’m not sure if there’s a free alternative, I recommend you go with this one as it seems like the all-in-one: https://woocommerce.com/products/import-export-suite-for-woocommerce/

All add-ons sold on the WooCommerce.com store come with a 30-day refund window, if the extension didn’t provide what you’re looking for or want something else we’ll be more than happy to issue a full refund.

1)add a view order link inside the order confirmation email like Shopify here: https://prnt.sc/1CC_vyNctmzj how can I do that? so that the client will be redirected to the website and see his order details.

You’ll need to edit your email template files via STFP, this fall under custom development which is not within our scope of support.

Here’s a guide that can help you with this: https://woocommerce.com/posts/how-to-customize-emails-in-woocommerce/

2)after I receive an order with COD or bank transfer payment method, I want to be able to send the payments to link to customers for them to pay via card for their orders in the backend something like Shopify too here: https://prnt.sc/c8ostY2n4ClJ how can I do it in woocommerce? Perhaps I didn’t understand what you mean here, can you please elaborate more? It just makes more sense if you disable COD and bank transfers in the first place and keep only card payments enabled.

Hello Saif thanks for your follow-up and reply, I appreciate that! ok, all the above is well noted. for COD and bank transfer, no I cannot disable them and keep only payment cards, sometimes the end user places the order and later decide to pay by card so I want to be able to send him his order details with status pending payment or processing from backend and make him pay by card online for his order, I want to generate a payment link for his order from backend, from the admin of woocommerce, can I do that or not doable here? Let me know thanks!

    Hi @marchajj

I want to generate a payment link for his order from backend, from the admin of woocommerce, can I do that or not doable here?

I understand that you want to be able to generate a custom payment link for orders that were paid via COD on your store.

What you want to achieve is a bit complex and would require customization to do it. Since custom coding is outside our scope of support, I am leaving this thread open for a bit to see if anyone can chime in to help you out.

We have our WooCommerce Developer Resources Portal that can help you get going.

You can also visit the WooCommerce Community Forum, the WooCommerce FB group, or the #developers channel of our Community Slack. We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there, too.

Another option is to check our customizations page to hire an expert that can create a custom solution for you: https://woocommerce.com/experts/

has anyone seen this before? I cannot see the 865 products in my backend, where are they?????

Based on the screenshot you provided, this refers to the updating of your WooCommerce database. If this is your concern, please go to WooCommerce > Status > Scheduled Actions > Pending to force run the database update.

As for the 865 products you are referring to, can you please provide further details what you mean here for us to address you further?
