Import of Book Articles results in ID 0

  • Dear Support Team,

    We are currently using your plugin for a customers webpage. There is a problem with the import of some publications of type “inbook”. After selecting the import file and starting the import the output list contains a row with ID = 0 and the Database-Record is not created.
    As I am not able to send attachment i am putting the content of the import file here .

    Do you have any idea why this is happening? Other bibtex records like following can be imported without a problem.

    Hi Franz,

    The problem is simple at the end: The chapter name in the entry is to long. There is a maximum of 40 chars. ( Ok, that’s a bit tight, but worked over 12 years ?? )

    But I think the basic problem is, that the bibtex entry is a bit wrong itself. For InBooks the chapter name is the “title” and the title of the book is “booktitle”. for comparison: this is the citation from SpringerLink:
