Import of 5k Posts not working

  • I use the export and import Option of WordPress and export – no Problem. But import breaks until some minutes with Error 500 or other Error.

    I have split the File in to 15 MB Files – same Error. The highest Import what i have done was 500 Posts.

    Why WordPress allows 200 MB when its not possible to import big files and how can i import them?

    Is there maybe a Plugin (whatever it costs) what can a better Job than the WordPress Developer.

  • Hi ndevil,

    What is the value of max_execution_time on your server ? You can increase it using ini_set('max_execution_time', 1200); //1200 seconds = 20 minutes

    Also check Maximum allowed size for uploaded files. Refer this link for more details.
