    Hi,
I’m trying to import subscribers, and after I select my .csv file, I press the “Continue” button but nothing happens.
I don’t even know what to try. Can anyone help me please?
    Regards

    Hi,

Do check your browser’s console for any visible errors and let us know what errors you see.

    Hi,
*Tried with a fresh install of chrome, same issue as with my usual firefox.

*Enabled debugging, no errors but a few warnings, here they are in french, I believe you shouldn’t have trouble with translations.

To confirm, you’re seeing no errors after clicking on the import button first then checking your browser’s console?

    Thread Starter ogreiskill

    (@ogreiskill)

    That is correct.
After loading the page I had only two warnings in the console, then when I clicked “continue” the <script> one appeared.
For some reason this particular warning isn’t showing anymore and I can’t seem to make it reappear

Sorry misunderstood you. Do you have a staging site where we can check this?

    Thread Starter ogreiskill

    (@ogreiskill)

I was referring to the first warning that I posted,

    échec du chargement pour l’élément <script> dont la source est ? https://rusoch.fr/wp-includes/js/wp-util.js?ver=5.5.3 ?. admin.php:2015:1

For some reason I had it only once

Alternatively, you can send a copy of the CSV file to brian at noptin dot com and I’ll check if it’s formatted correctly.

    (@ogreiskill)

I will do so, but I tried exporting the almost empty list from noptin and re-importing it, with the same issue, which I assume was evidence that the file is not at fault

    Plugin Author Brian Mutende

    (@picocodes)

Yeah, if that’s the case then the issue is not file related.

Try creating a test site on wpsandbox.net and let us know if you manage to import subscribers.

You can use any Dummy CSV downloaded online.

Tried it, it works fine on the test site

    Okay, have you translated Noptin?

    Thread Starter ogreiskill

    (@ogreiskill)

I’m not sure what you mean, but no, I don’t think I did anything like that

As you mentioned that your website is in french, I assumed that you’ve already translated the Noptin strings to french. Sometimes you might forget crucial placeholders when translating hence such issues.

But if it’s not translated then that’s not the issue, the only remaining solution is to reproduce the same environment as your site in a staging site so that we can take a closer look.

    I have an update:

I wanted to turn on the “probem solving” that disables all plugins and themes, and it turns out that this button wasn’t working either, despite working a couple days ago. So I disabled a plugin that I installed recently, and all buttons are now working.
It was the “Exchange rate” plugin by “CurrencyRate.today”
I don’t get how it could cause such a problem.
    I successfully imported the list.
Thank you for the help and sorry, it clearly wasn’t an issue with Noptin
    Best Regards
