    Hello.

    I can’t import any data.
I’ve tried to import a (clean) csv file, I’ve tried to import it manually with copy and paste and tried to import the table as HTML: all the times I get “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”.

This happen either I try to import data to an existing table or a new table.

    WP_DEBUG = true doesn’t show anything.

    I’m lost.

    Please help.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
That sounds weird indeed. Not sure why this is happening.

Are you maybe using any security plugins that could be prohibiting the file upload?

Can you try again with all other plugins deactivated and after switching to the WordPress default theme TwentyTwelve?

If that does not help, I can offer to take a direct look at this on your site. In that case, please send me the information for a temporary admin account via email. My address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,

Thank you for the quick answer.

It can’t be something that block uploading, as this happens with manual input as well.

Unfortunately I can’t disable plugins or switch theme, as I’m working in a team and other people must be able to keep working without me messing on the site.

I’ll try to make a local copy of the site so I can freely test.

    I’ll keep you updated.

    Hi,

    ok, I see…
Are you maybe using a plugin like “User Role Editor”, “Advanced Access Manager”, or “Members”, that could have been used to restrict access capabilities?

Again, if you can’t find a reason, I’ll gladly take a direct look.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hello Tobias,

Working in a local environment, I’ve eventually found out that is a theme issue, but I can’t figure out what is causing it.

If your offer is still valid, I can give you admin access or, even better, a snapshot copy of the site that you can run locally.

    Hi,

good to hear that you found the cause!

Admin access to a live site would be the best for me, I just don’t have time and ressources to first set things up, sorry.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

just for everybody following this thread:

I worked on this directly with sciamannikoo, and this is what I found:
I strongly believe that the theme is doing something wrong here, as it executes its own code on pages where it shouldn’t, namely on the TablePress admin pages.
Therefore, this is an issue in the theme and can only be fixed in the theme. Thus, I can only recommend to report this to the theme developers, and ask them to fix their theme code. I can’t do anything about this in TablePress here. Sorry.

    Regards,
    Tobias
