• I used the import tool in the manage section to import posts to this WordPress installation:

The problem I am having is that every ‘<‘ and ‘>’ is being stripped out during the import, leaving every post with none of the included HTML (mostly A and IMG tags).

  • Yep, me too. I responded to another thread with the same problem. It doesn’t look like anyone has solved their problem either.

Have you sorted this out yet? Your blog looks good, but not sure about the old posts.

Here’s my ugly blog… Wisdom of the Moon

Come on WordPress community; show a little love here.

Import from WHERE, pray tell? If you are using one of the importer plugins, you need to contact the author with any problems.

Ya, sorry. I’m importing from blogger.

I don’t think it’s a plug-in, just the standard ‘import’ from the admin page. (Under ‘Tools’ I clicked ‘Import’ and then chose ‘blogger’ from the options, authorized it and then hit ‘import’.)

And also, my man deleted out all the imported posts when he was trying to fix things last night, so looking at my site won’t show what it looked like. Basically, all the open brackets were gone, but the rest of the html remained.

The only place on the web that I’ve found a possible fix is to create a temporary WordPress.com blog, import it to there and then move from .com to .org.

I’m giving that a shot right now.
