Import from media library : duplicate files ?

    Hi

    This caption is really good and works as I want. That’s a good thing.

    I was just wondering about one thing.
    While creating a gallery, I can import files from WP Media Library. I think that doing that will duplicate files, copying from the media library to the storage space of the plugin.

    Am I right ?

    If yes, wouldn’t it be great to avoid duplicating files, first because of space, second because of duplication, third because after a time you won’t be able to know which file is used by which object (post, gallery…) ?

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    Yes, the images are duplicated.

    You can delete the unnecessary images from the library. They will not be removed from the existing galleries and posts.
