Import from another site not working

Sorry for the trouble. I am currently travelling for work and won’t have the time to investigate this until the week-end. I did make some changes to the import mechanism recently but thought all of my tests showed that the import function worked correctly. Could you try importing the default import template provided with Link Library and see if that imports correctly?

I’m having a hard time reproducing your issue. Are both sites running the same version of Link Library on the same version of WordPress? Did you try importing the default import template into your site and see if that imported correctly? I personally ran a test where I exported all links out of my test site, then proceeded to delete all links and categories on my test site and imported from the export file and that worked without any issues.

Did you try to edit your CSV file in any tool before importing it back in? Tools like Microsoft Excel tend to mess up CSV files.

I just tried again from the latest version and exported the categories first, then the links, then went to the new site and imported the categories then the links and it is now working.

Thanks for the feedback. The odd thing is that I did not change anything related to the link export and import functions. I just added this new ability to import a list of categories. Glad to hear that things are working well on your end now.
