In your own blog, point the rss feed importer at your feed.
That should be it ??

podz, I am a newbie. I put my WP site together on my desktop under Xampp, and I am now hosted by Bluehost. I got my theme on the server just fine. How can I import my links, pages, categories and posts? Thanks

From wordpress.COM? Right now you cannot.

You can, yes. But posts seem only to be workable. Seems comments are a problem….

The answer is, you can’t. You can import the posts from the RSS feed, and that’s it because there’s no way to merge or combine everything else that’s in the database into rss.

This is good information, and I hadn’t gotten along far enough under XAMPP that it will be a real big deal cutting and pasting or recreating posts, pages, links and categories into my new site on Bluehost. I think this could be a much bigger problem for somebody who has been running for a while on .COM and now has no way to hang onto archives. Thanks for the comments.
