• I have upgraded to the latest version of Gallery 2.0.17

    Today I tried to create a new gallery, there used to be an option to import images from an already uploaded directory, this would then create a images directory within that folder with thumbnails.

    I now cannot see how to do this, there is an option to upload images, however in the import folder option the only folders avaiable are ones within the ‘wp-content’ directory

    Can I select another directory outside ‘wp-content’ is so how can this be achieved?

    Hopefully that makes sense….

    Cheers

    @cludgie – We have just released a new beta version (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/nextgen-gallery-latest-beta/) that will now allow you to import from outside the /wp-content/ folder.

    Place this anywhere in wp-config before:
    /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

    define( 'NEXTGEN_GALLERY_IMPORT_ROOT', dirname( __FILE__ ) . '/' );

    – Cais.

    What about outside of the wordpress directory.

    For example I have my wordpress site at

    defylife.co.uk

    But my wordpress directory is /adventure

    I’ve set nextgen gallery to upload files to defylife.co.uk/assets/images/

    Now how to I import folders form here into a gallery?

    Thanks
