    Hi-

On Jan 22 I installed the plugin and exported a backup file. The plugin was deleted from the site. Today (Jan.28) I downloaded the plugin and installed it back to the site, then tried to upload the backup file.

    Here’s the message I got:

Version 2.1.1 of All in One WP Migration introduces new compression algorithm. It makes exporting and importing 10 times faster.
Unfortunately, the new format is not back compatible with backups made with earlier versions of the plugin.
You can either create a new backup with the latest version of the plugin, or convert the archive to the new format using our tools here.

    The link: https://servmask.com/archive/tools

is not working; it says, “Whoops, looks like something went wrong.” Can you give me the correct link so I can convert the archive to the new format? Or give me a link to the old plugin? Thanks

Hi- it looks like the import worked; I found some instructions on another page that said to open up the site in another dashboard, change the permalinks, and stop maintenance.

So I did that, and I can see the stuff is there, but on the other tab it still says “restoring database.” Can I just close that browser tab? Or is still doing something in the background?

    Hi rachel613,

For the first issue you had, the backup you were trying to import is not .wpress but something else.

With “Restoring database” problem, if you are already in (with username/password from your exported site), you can close the tab with “Restoring database”.

    Best,
    Pim
