• Starting yesterday, I noticed that one particular Outlook ics fed calendar was publishing repeats of events. It added the events whenever it checked for updates (hourly). Recurring events had been added to that Outlook calendar, but they weren’t showing, only single events. I removed that feed and deleted all it’s events.

I added back the feed, but the feed process never completes. Just says “please wait”. After an hour or so, I refresh the page and the calendar is listed but it’s name is the full ics feed, not the category name it was assigned to. Also, the ics feed is still showing in the “add new subscription” box at the top.

Looking at the calendar, I do not see any of the recurring events. I saw another post saying that recurring events were being skipped.

I’ve added other calendars without recurring events to test, and the “add subscription” process works fine. I’ve rolled back ai1ec to version to 2.3.12 to test. No difference.

  • Calvin,

I updated the plugin and refreshed the feed (said imported 487 items). It’s still missing the dates mentioned in the previous post. Also in this new version you can’t select how often you want the feed to refresh. Looking at the ai1ec_cron job it’s scheduled to run every 24 hours (which is why you saw a 9 hour delay). This can’t be changed through the UI anymore.

Thank you so much for your help! So excited to get this to work.

    Calvin,

It seems that the recurring events not showing is still there. I updated today to the new version of the ai1ec plugin (2.5.3) and I’m not seeing a recurring event. I didn’t look prior to the update. Here’s the feed:

There should be a recurring event called menorah deadline each month on the 12th starting on July 12th. None of the events show in All Events. Note that there are a couple of single events with the same event name that are not part of the recurring event.

Here’s the section out of the ics feed:

I’ve refreshed the feed as well.

Also, how often are the feeds refreshed? I can’t tell since that option is no longer visible.
    Thanks

    Hi cbhtcomputers!

Can you please try refreshing the feed? I made some adjustments here and looks good now.

    Thanks!

I refreshed the feed and now see the events but they aren’t correct. The event is an all day event that starts on 7/12 and then recurs every month on the same date until 12/12. What I see on the calendar is two events in July – on 7/12 and 7/13, then an event each subsequent month on the 13th (should be the 12th) and none in december.
