Import fails silently, Import WordPress redraws, then nothing

    Aha. Forcing debug on gave me this:

    Fatal error: Class ‘DOMDocument’ not found

    So I’ve put in a support ticket for XML-fu.

    I had the exact same issue – installing ‘php-xml’ fixed it.

    ssh to your server
    yum install ‘php-xml’
    service httpd restart

    reload the “import” web page…

    In my case, my hosting provider needs to add the XML support.

    If they don’t do it soon, I’m going to have to move my site. ??

    Oh… right… I just updated my own post to indicate that’s how I fixed it, too.

    I’m using AtoZnet.com. It’s a Mom and pop shop who give you whatever you ask for at the price you can afford to pay if you email them directly and just say somebody told you so… hehe… she charges me $60 for the year but I get ssh access, so, works for me.
