I was trying to migrate a subsite from one multisite network to another multisite network.
So I did set up the plugin on both multisite networks, copied the blog ID of the fresh site of the target network, and exported the subsite from the source network while putting in the exact blog ID. Now while importing, it throws “import failed’. I even tried FTP upload and yet the same.
What do you think would be the possible reason? If you would like, I can provide the log files.

Thanks for reporting this issue. We tried to reproduce this scenario (doing a subsite to subsite migration) but it appears fine. I suggest to do the following quick troubleshooting to isolate the problem. Skip the any step if you already done it:

    • Make sure you are using the latest version of Prime Mover that is version 1.1.9 on both sites.
    • If you are uploading, your connection might have been disrupted. Try restoring within server by following this tutorial. It requires you to upload the package using FTP to the target multisite server.
    • Try restoring a db-only package (not a complete package) to see if it completes restoration

I see that you contacted us via the plugin bug report form. I will follow-up. Thanks.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply, appreciate the promptness ??

    1. Yes both versions are the latest as I was only testing on 2 fresh installs of multisite.
    2. I have also uploaded via FTP but the issue persists.
    3. I tried restoring only the db but it gets stuck at “Package extraction..90.3M bytes read.”. I did let it run for almost 30 mins. The DB site was <2MB.

And thank you for contacting me via email as well. You can close this thread and we will continue there. If it’s a bug and we do find a solution, we can always add it here for others to refer to.

Thanks a bunch for your time ??
