Import/Export Packages created groups but doesn’t associate fields to them

    On Import/Export packages the JSON generated when imported to a new environment creates the field groups but all fields are associated with the group More Fields, the new groups created are empty.

    These fields already existed and were assigned to groups on one environment. When importing the JSON on another environment they are not assigned to the new groups, but they are created.

    Are you on the latest Pods version (2.9.19 or the newly 3.0.0)?
    I believe I remember this bug being fixed a while ago.

    I’m on 2.9.19, seems 3.0 was published 20 minutes ago?

    Thanks for confirming, and correct, 3.0 has just been released.

    I cannot reproduce this locally by doing the following steps:

    – Create a Pod with two field groups and some random fields in both these groups.
    – Export the Pod
    – Import the Pod
    – Check the Pod

    All fields are still in the correct group.

    Can you elaborate on the exact steps you take? Also, can you provide me with the export file of a test Pod in which you encounter the error?

    Please make sure to run rests with only Pods active to ensure no other plugin/theme conflicts are happening.
