Import / Export of 2010 menus

  • We are not able to export and import menus (via wordpress XML).
    We are using the twentyten theme and are creating childs too.

    I am just wondering if there is someway we can create an export file which also includes menu instructions so that when we do the import , the twentyten menu is already set up?

    Any other ideas?

    I may be wrong, but my understanding is that the “export” feature only export content from posts and pages.

    That’s correct. I don’t know of a method to export/import menus other than by a database dump and import.

    I had a suspicion that this was the case, just wondering if anyone had an approach. Database dump and import is probably the way.
