• I am using the default wordpress export & import to migrate events to a site in development. The plugin version is identical on both sites (3.4.13) however the DB version is different (3.3.24.1 and 3.4.13).

I can only assume that this discrepancy in DB versions is the cause? I would assume when you update a version of this plugin, it performs the db schema changes automatically? Is there any way to apply this change? Unless there is another reason why the export > import process is not working?

The default WordPress export/import isn’t going to help very much, as it won’t include data from the My Calendar custom tables. So, regardless of whether there’s a schema discrepancy, none of that content is being moved.

You can import events using Pro, but there isn’t really a good way for importing/exporting events in the free plugin right now. You’d might be better off doing a full clone of the site, then importing everything else.

How do you export events using pro?

Events can be exported in the free version; there’s an API you can turn on in the admin settings that allows you to exports events in JSON, CSV, or ICS format.
