Hello. I currently have a Wix website with subscriptions through PayPal. I have a list of emails, billing ID (B-xxxx), last payment and next payment. Can I import or manually create the users again without disrupting the recurring billing?

What is the implication of having existing B- tokens instead of I- that I see in the documents?

    Hi @boerewors ????

Thank you for contacting the Paid Memberships Pro team.

This is possible using the Import Members From CSV Add On where you can maintain the active subscriptions, please see our documentation here – https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/add-ons/pmpro-import-users-csv/#subscriptions

I don’t see any issues with subscriptions starting with “B-” as we rely on the gateway to process the charges and notify the website using the IPN handler to capture the recorded subscription payment. For more information to how Paid Memberships Pro handles recurring payments, you may view this article – https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/recurring-payments-with-paid-memberships-pro/

I hope this helps get you started with this migration.

    Kind Regards,

Thank you for the response. I have read conflicting information, so happy I can import users from Wix without disrupting their subscriptions. I believe Wix uses the PayPal Standard gateway, can I change to PayPal Express without disruption or would you suggest sticking with PayPal Standard?

Members that have an active subscription in PayPal Standard must go through a PayPal Standard account – you would need to continue using this flavor of PayPal for those users.

Do I import these under membership_subscription_transaction_id?

    Plugin Support Jarryd Long

    (@jarryd-long)

That’s correct – membership_subscription_transaction_id should have the PayPal Subscription ID in this column.

Please confirm if the gateway column has a value of paypal for the users you imported?
