I was wondering if it be possible into include import functionality into this plugin? I don’t feel like paying $99 just for an import feature.

    Hi @michaelranderson,

Thank you for your question. The aim of this plugin has always been exporting only. The data is provided by the forms, and not the other way around. So there are no plans to make this happen.

Also, to be honest, it feels like I only need to build this so you don’t have to pay; making me pay in a sense. And way more than 99 bucks I might add ??

Building an import function isn’t as easy as it sounds. The problem starts with Reading the file (excel sucks), and interpreting the data (some data might be a function, and no data at all). Then values must be mapped to fields (some fields have multiple subfields, so every column needs to be mapped to a specific (sub)field), and the entry must be created. All this is LOADS of work, not counting the time for bugs and feature requests.

I build this plugin as a fun hobby project, but some do this as their job. Paying them for their time is more than reasonable. I might not agree with the price; but that depends on the full functionality of the plugin. Also note that, buying a plugin entitles you to support. That also costs money, so there is usually a fee for that in the price.

I’m really happy you use, or consider using, my plugin; and I’m very sorry to not be able to help you further. I hope you view this message as constructive, and not as dismissive ??
