Import comments from groups

I’m not familiar how exactly jetpack comments works, but our plugin can import comments from facebook group posts (with a link) to the wordpress database.

Is it automatic or do you have to import for each time you post a link in a group?

Also, do you know Facebook’s stance on this, is it OK with them to be duplicating the comments?

Hi Sam,

In free version is necessary to click on “Import” button, to import comments. PRO version will automatically connect posts with facebook entries and automatically import comments (from last 25 posts) using wordpress cron job. In pro version, you can even manually connect and import comments from posts without link.

I believe that is ok with facebook, because it is implemented in their API.

I’m trying to get the demo working here. I’ve got my facebook page ID, my app id, my app secret code, and my website base url (was automatically added) all entered and I hit the save button, then the show button, but nothing comes up.

If I understand correctly, I should be seeing comments made to posts I have made to my page, right?

Hi Sam,

It is hard to tell what is exactly the problem without looking. A lot of users using free version without any problem. It is not just a demo, free version is fully functional plugin, and some users actually doesn’t even no need for PRO.

It would be the best if you contact me by email, and send me screenshot of configuration page, so I can try to reproduce the problem on my dev server.
