Import and Export Reviews

    Hello,

    is there any feature how I can import my reviews from a blog to a new one? Unfortunately, I find absolutely nothing, as I can export the written reviews to import them into the new blog. Only settings.

    Hello,
    If you install and use the WordPress importer/exporter you’ll see that there is a specific option for “Review”. Selecting “All content” will include reviews in your import/export.

    Hey,
    me again.
    If I export the reviews, then no cover images import to the new page. What I doing wrong?

    Yeah, I was afraid that would happen. Importing custom post types and their attachments has always been sketchy, I have that issue even with WooCommerce.

    Gimme a minute to look at the exported file and see if I can find a solution.

    Hello again,
    I did check on it and I noticed that I am storing the book cover as a string of the image’s file path. So when imported WordPress is unable to import and add the image to its database with just the file path.

    This is because early on in the development of the plugin I chose to have book covers be separate from the featured image because I knew it would affect themes. So as things are right now, there is no easy way to resolve this for you. You’ll most likely have to re-add the book covers 1 by 1, though the automatic book cover fetch should make this easier.
