    Hi,
Thanks for your work on this plugin; functions great; just what I need! however does your plugin (or google drive embedder plugin) have a known impact to overall website performance? Since activating both on my site, it is running an average 5 seconds slower (“time to bytes” shot up significantly). I’m using GTmetrix to check speed. Site speed was averaging 15 seconds everyday the past week. I activated both your plugins and ran multiple tests right after. Now getting 20 – 23 seconds speeds. 15 seconds was already too slow ?? (which i’ll be improving of course but wanted to address this obvious slow down before I do). Your insight and advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Best,
    Brad

  • Brad,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Please could you send me an email so we can discuss in more detail:

There haven’t been any major reports of the plugins causing speed issues, especially since they don’t really need to have any impact on pages where they aren’t used (E.g. Google Apps Login only really comes to life on /wp-login.php).

However, sometimes speed measurement tools get confused by redirects or inability to access pages. Also, there are potentially conflicts with caching systems.

I may not pick up replies to this thread here, so please do get in touch via email!

    Thanks,

    Dan
