I believe someone is actually spamming using the user name: [email protected].
When I add it to the “Immediately block the IP of users who try to sign in as these usernames” textbox, return, and try to save the option changes, Wordfence won’t save. I get a popup saying, “Error Saving Options.” If I try publish@chinahousebuyers, it works. When I try @chinahousebuyers.com, it works. I see that in the database, the loginSec_userBlacklist is a [BLOB – 132 B] and that I should not edit it. So, will Wordfence need to make a change on Wordfence’s end so I can block this spammer using an email-address format?

    Hi @tomusher

I cannot replicate that as I can successfully save [email protected]. so your PHP error logs may provide clues to what on your website or hosting server is causing the problem.

Please send your Wordfence diagnostics report. Please go to the top of the “Diagnostics” tab on the Wordfence “Tools” page. There will be a “SEND REPORT BY EMAIL” button to send the diagnostics report. Enter wftest [at] wordfence [dot] com as the email and @tomusher as the forum username please.

Once you have emailed me the diagnostics report can you reply here to let me know that it has been sent. This is important in the unlikely event that your installation of WordPress is having an issue with sending mail.

I had to manually email the diagnostics report. I was subscribed to this support ticket and the “Notify me …” was also checked. I don’t know why I didn’t receive a notification of your reply. I’ll check into that on my end.

    Hi Tom,

Thank you for the update and sorry for the late reply.

Please replicate the same error. Now look in the Log Files section on the Tools >> Diagnostics page. Use the links to download any log files present and send them to wftest [at] wordfence [dot] com

Make sure to put @tomusher in the email subject field and let me know when it has been sent so that I can find it.
