immediate and monthly notification

  • I am using Digest notification for one of my WP website. Is there a way or an option that I can set the email frequency to either immediate or monthly?
    if yes, may I know what code should I add or what settings do I need to enable?

    Hey there,

    Thanks for asking! A monthly frequency is definitely possible and I think we can easily add this to the plugin. I’m just not sure what the benefit of immediately sending emails is? I mean, Digest’s goal is to send summaries of all notifications.

    Right now, there’s a option_digest_frequency filter you could hook into, which is called every hour when running the cron event. That way you could easily send hourly emails. However, it looks like I really need to add some additional code to make a monthly frequency possible.

    Many thanks for your quick response. I agree that having something set for immediate doesn’t make sense and you can ignore that one. As for the monthly frequency, would you have a rough estimate as to when can this be implemented?
