    Hello,

if the plugin Imagify is active and the option “Create webp versions of images > Display images in webp format on the site” is active, the file path gets messed up after moving the images with Real Physical Media.

I know that Media File Rename is handling the moving process, that’s why I’m creating a new topic only for this issue.

Hopefully, this can be solved, because webp format is somehow popular and leads to a better score in google page insights.
Also, it provides good compression while keeping the quality.

    Regards,
    Nikolaj

Hey, the dev of devowl told me “Ultimately, Media File Renamer cannot move Imagify’s thumbnails.”

I did a test to generate thumbs, optimized them with Imagify and I could move the files to another place.
    Only webp-files are not moved.

Also, the file-path at the front-page got messed up when moving the file back and forth with RML and RPM.

    Hi,

For the free version of Renamer (here) I can support it, but you would need to test without the other plugins.

Normally, you would have a file (and its thumbnails) such as photo.jpg. If there is a webp file, it would be normally named photo.jpg.webp. Can you try to rename such a media entry with the Renamer?

I just would like to make sure the Renamer works well by itself. It’s very hard to predict and know what’s happening with Imagify and RLM, RPM all at the same time. It’s better to test each part of the workflow one by one to understand where the problem is exactly.

    That will be great! ??

Is there a tutorial on how to move images with Media File Renamer?
Sadly the fields for renaming are greyed out. Not possible to rename. Why is that?

    Hi @niwo,

Renaming files manually is a Pro feature. You can use Auto-Rename with the free version, and you could try to test it like this so see why it’s not renaming.

There is no possibility of moving a file through the UI of Media File Renamer, only the plugin you are using can do that (and it uses Media File Renamer features, indeed).

Moving and renaming is the same thing, technically speaking ??

    Hey, it works.
Also, the thumbnail webp files are being renamed properly.
    Sorry for the late reply.

    Regards
