Imagify changed the aspect ratio of our category images

    Hi Imagify!

    I recently optimized the image bank in our online store. Now I see that the category images’ rendered aspect ratio has changed, even though the images are square.

    Can you assist us so that these show 1: 1, as they did before the optimization?

    This is Ioanna from Imagify and I’ll gladly assist you here!

    This kind of issue should be happening due to the WebP display when using picture tags. If you deactivate the display WebP option through Settings > Imagify and clear your cache, is the issue fixed? If so, you could try to choose the rewrite rules way to display your WebP images unless you are using a Cloudflare/ CDN.

    Deactivating the display WebP option and clearing the cache worked.
    Do you mind explaining to me where I can rewrite the rules way to display the WebP images? I am not using a Cloudflare/ CDN.

    You can find the rewrite rules option through Settings > Imagify as in this screenshot.
