Images/folders won't delete after gallery delete

You are also using the option under Gallery > Image Options to have images removed with Gallery deletion as well, correct?

I mean, it wouldn’t be a problem if I could just delete them through ftp, the problem is I don’t have root access.

@majselx – You do not need root access to delete existing galleries unless they are being maintained in the “root” … the default location would be under the /wp-content/ folder which you should at least have access to that … or so I would hope with a WordPress installation.

I have access to /wp-content/, but all the folders of galleries are owned by ‘apache’ and when I try to delete them it says “Error message from server: Permission denied
”

@majselx – If you have access to the /wp_content/ folder but your FTP user cannot remove them, then this may be a server permission error issue … have you checked with the host to ensure the site’s general permissions are set up to correctly allow for a WordPress installation to work properly?
