Images wont upload but will link :o- . . . hmmm . . . help

    I’ve an issue with uploading images. I’m using WP2.7.

    The site url is https://www.tranquilloft.com.au and the blog is at https://www.tranquilloft.com.au/massage-cronulla.

    My set up is with wordpress in a folder called “massage-cronulla” which sits in the root directory. The “wordpress.php” file also sits in the root directory.

    I can link to files elsewhere on the net without any issues.

    When I attempt to upload from my computer, I get the following error message:

    The uploaded file could not be moved to /home/tranquilloft/www/cronulla-massage/wp-content.

    This is a very odd path as the root folder is not sitting in any folders called “home” or “tranquilloft”.

    Have I got a setting wrong in the “wordpress.php” file?

    I’ve noted that the tool for uploading doesn’t show the usual option of using the Flash uploader.

    Ooops . . . should add that the name of the “wordpress.php” file is now “cronulla-massage.php”.

    I fixed this. Here’s how . . .

    I changed my upload path in Settings > Miscellaneous. It was just “wp-content”. I changed it to: “wp-content/uploads”.

    I also added the folder “uploads” in the “wp-content” folder and gave it 777 permissions through the “Get Info” dialogue pop up. (well it pops up in Fetch but may appear in other ways in your FTP client)

    Works like a charm.
