images wont show

  • Hi all

    first thing is I move the site to its own directory, I have it all working apart from the images I uploaded, All i get is blank boxes with the red X.

    the link will show you what I mean, any idea on how to get them back, the Miscellaneous Options is wp-content/uploads. I changed it to a few different ways with no luck.

    or do I have to go through the site code and change all the link or do I need to re upload all the images again.

    ok I found where to edit code in the SQL database to make the images show up again, one question, do I need to change the guid text with in the post_content in SQL database ?
    I have urls like so https://www.mydomain.com/wordpress/?p=99

    how ever the folder wordpress in no longer there.

    so do I need to edit it like so for each post

    https://www.mydomain.com/?p=99

    I assume you’re using the image uploader built-in to WP? After uploading an image, don’t drag and drop it to the post – there’s a bug there and that’s likely what’s causing your problem.

    Instead, click on the image and click “Send to Post” from the little popup menu (note that you can change other things from that menu as well.)

    No thats not it at all, all images were working, before I move the site to another directory. now all images dont show up at all in the upload area with in the WP.

    anyway i’m now editing the SQL to make the images show up again in the WP
