Images won't load

I’ve loaded hundreds of images on my site and never had any problems. Within the last week, whenever I upload an image into my media library, no image is present. It just shows a picture of a little black icon. It kind of looks like a little disk of some sort.

There’s no error message, and it appears to load correctly to 100% and then completes as usual. There’s just no image there. I can even select “insert into post” and it does. It inserts the little black disk icon as my picture in my article.

I’ve disabled all plugins that are new, and I’ve reinstalled my 3.5.1 just to be sure. Nothing works !

Any ideas?
